Introduction to Spiralite Ductwork

Spiralite pre-insulated, non-metal ductwork has benefits for everyone involved in creating outstanding construction projects. It has outstanding thermal performance, is 80% lighter than steel ductwork, improves energy efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions. Spiralite is suitable for internal or external use and allows designers and engineers to save space and weight. Crucially for all construction projects, it significantly reduced labour time on site.

In some cases, designers have chosen not to hide the ductwork, celebrating its functional aesthetic and using open rather than enclosed spaces. As a lightweight ductwork solution, Spiralite doesn’t require addition heavyweight structures to support it, allowing greater positioning flexibility and more effective grille location.

Aesthetics are not necessarily a concern for those specifying ductwork in a hospital or any other environment where hygiene is a principal specification and mineral fibre installation is not permitted. Or for retail environments where speed of installation and maintenance are key. Spiralite can be specified for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications. It provides a complete ductwork solution from the air handling unit (AHU) to grille.

Anything that can be done in galvanised steel sheet (GSS) can be done in pre-insulated Spiralite and it saves space, time and money for everyone involved.
